Rukia converses with Aaroniero Arruruerie, who moves, speaks, sounds, and acts like the real Kaien. Kaien states that
the hollow that infected him was transported back to Hueco Mundo, regenerating as his body, but his "good" mind was the one
that gained control. He offers Rukia a way to "atone for her sin" by letting him kill her, and she accepts - providing she
is able to rescue Inoue first. Kaien shrugs what he just said off as a joke, then offers her another method: kill all of her
friends that followed her here. By this act, Rukia exposes him as an imposter. The two do battle, but Rukia cannot gain the
upper hand, as Kaien was the one who taught her how to fight in the first place.
